Recovery

Arrived back in Perth and Robert off to Royal Perth Hospital for a check up post 36hr flight.
All well, as best can be expected, leg in brace and crutches, no showering, only sponge baths for 8 weeks.
 First transfer of three - the whole process was bigger than Ben Hur
1st transfer with Ambos in Brussels
One of many
 First Class - Brussels to Perth - what a way to get an upgrade, the luxury of travelling First Class, was  lost with the accident. The food, service, and crew were wonderful - the should give us another free seat. Next time Rob said it is my turn to 'break a leg'

The metal.

St Pierres - Belgium

Well as most of you know Robert had a huge accident, broke the tibia in 6 places, big operation, me arguing with  the french speaking hospital administration SURPRISE !! SURPRISE!! and then an Emirates First class flight home to perth over 36 hrs. What a great ten days and it all happened in the last 2 hours of our 10 week holiday

 The Scar !!!
This was the breakfast, lunch and dinner tray, nearly the same for every meal over ten days
Apart from loosing weight by being in hospital, this quality certainly helped in my weight loss and Roberts too!!

November 2012 - WTF +++

Well the 25th Nov a day to remember - I was attacked and grabbed at the throat, robbed, jewellery taken and Robert injured. Falling down a railway subway for 3 metres and landing on his right knee immediately curtailed the holiday.
Robert had given chase, jumped over a balcony and crash. People offered to assist in looking after your bags - yeah right kiss good bye to them NO WAY !!, Strangers helped, police and ambulance arrived - destination St Pierre's Hospital .
Belgium WAS such a nice place
