Geraldton, via Newman, Meekatharra, Cue & Yalgoo

On the road again and the first stop was Newman, and here we spent 5 BLOODY hot days and had the misfortune to spend NYE here. Look it was lovely to catch up with an old friend but, it was 45 degrees every day for the whole five of them. There was nothing to do but stay inside, drink and stay inside. It took all of an hour to do a tour of the town andanother to look over the local woolworths and a sprinkling of shops. The best place was our friend's work which was the local P.O.

The final picture is the beautiful Town Beach in Geraldton and it is a far cry from the dusty Port Hedland and surrounds. A welcome relief from the 'Pilbara Pink' that seems to infiltrate everything while in Hedland. But lovely people in town especially, the hospital crew.
