Many years ago our travelling flash packer friend, Norma's grandmother came from this remote town on the west coast of Norway all the way to Australia and Western Australia at that!!.
If only one new how that decision was made that adventure that would have been for a 16 yo young lady early in the 20th century.
On our way up the vernacular railway in Bergen was a wonderful site but the rain was approaching quickly and by the time we got to the top for a view it was gone and before you new it there was nothing to look at. this was most likely the best photo of Bergen I got because of the rain and drizzle all the time. There were 2 days of fine weather but I must have left the camera at the apartment ................. Well tomorrow it is off on the the 'Flam' Railway tour, this os one of the worlds steepest railways and to get to it there was a train bus boat before we even saw the railway................................
