What better to do than go away for a break when you are on a permanent working holiday, and the moment came in Jan 2012 for a quick trip to Manilla and onto HK for David and Michelle's joint 50th Birthday
Manilla's weather was very hot and humid, but we did some wonderful tours and rafted up the Pangansen River to the point where Marlon Brando filmed the spot where he was in the cave, in the move Apocolyse Now. Apart from getting 2nd degree burns to my legs it was a great day.....still got the scars....on my legs ....to prove it. Manilla itself was just like any other city in Asia, busy smog filled, lots of bodies, humid..
These are the falls and in the corner of the photo is the little raft that we went on and nearly drowned or so we thought we were going to..but we survived to tell another ..........................
