Katherine - For a short time not a ...........

Well it was a quick time in Katherine, went to work in ED, great staff, BUT lasted three weeks in one of the worst staff quarters I have ever seen. Short of sheets blankets,crockery, pots and utensils. Nothing fitted the bed, nothing good it was either,chipped cracked dirty missing or broken.

Town was great  and the staff at ED were one of the most helpful I have met and the admin girls were always wonderful BUT what can I say, the confidentiality agreement precludes me

 This the look of the train bridge at Katherine from the river bank and to think that this has been under water twice in the last 20 odd years. Unbelievable !!!!
Well it was time to leave after three weeks and move to Alice Springs on our way to Nganampa in the APY lands for a 4 week stint back in remote health




This is a small and very small country pub
at Daly Waters on the state highway between katherine and Alice, and yes they served food beer and
petrol and we are not sure if you can stay there but all accounts it was a great place to take in the ambience
